Chama-se “Stopover” e é o novo projeto da TAP que pretende rentabilizar as escalas dos turistas do mercado norte-americano no território nacional.
Após apresentar as novas rotas em Boston e JFK, a companhia aérea portuguesa anuncia agora um produto que promove a permanência de passageiros de longo curso com destino final noutros países. A ideia passa por seduzir os turistas a ficar em Portugal durante 24, 48 ou 72 horas, oferecendo condições atrativas através de parceiros locais.
A empresa quer promover Portugal como destino turístico, reforçando, em simultâneo, no mercado interno, a perceção de que, apesar das mudanças na estrutura acionista, continua a ser uma empresa portuguesa.

Interesting article although I wonder why mr. Abilio Martins is not reachable for clients in Europe.. I recently had a flight with TAP from Amsterdam via Lisboa to Sao Vicente.
The plane I flew in was half empty, the sound quality of the speakers was terrible and when we started too late the purser assured me that there was no problem for me to catch the flight to Sao Vicente. Fact is that they did not inform the connecting flight and as a result I was force to take another route. Customerservice in Lisboa was a disaster and thanks to them I had to stay a night in Praia on the airport without any possibility to rest. You might be working on the america market mr Martins but you should know about the problems of the european market.
Your personnel needs training and your airplanes need a torough check up. I was a trainer for servicepeople for 30 years but I would be ashamed if my trainingprogrammes would result in people acting like your people do .
